Global Entertainment Provider Latches On
Prague, Czech Republic - March 11, 2005 - Synegys, known for helping companies adopt the mobile channel to improve business performance, today announced it is one of the first companies in Central and Eastern Europe to support mobile payment (m-payment) for content consumed outside of mobile. An agreement was struck to provide a global entertainment provider the capabilities to extend its number of payment offerings.
A complete infrastructure supporting mobile payments all over
Europe will be in place within the next six months. This could be used to handle and manage paid web-based content for songs, movies, streaming video, games, and pictures among other forms of media.
"The mobile phone is a ubiquitous and powerful channel for allowing people to make purchases," says William Eng, Managing Director of Synegys. "Providing consumers with a choice of payment options will help improve purchase rates - especially in regions such as
Europe where credit card purchases over the internet is largely avoided."
