How to effectively harvest leads during a public event is a frequently asked question by marketing agencies and event organizers. Some collect business cards, some manually collect contact details, some get people to fill out forms. Synegys s.r.o., a leading Mobile Services company, today announced a successful use case of its self-provisioning mobile marketing platform.
The concept was put to the test with an event organized by the dancing school SalsaMANIA www.salsamania.cz. The event was designed to attract new students through a free dance workshop where participants have a chance to win free lessons for a course. “The initiative was a resounding success,” said Vratislav Cervenka, Director of Customer Success. “The contest was entered by over 50% of the event participants. With Synegys, the school now has a list of contacts who did not sign up for the course to follow up with, to get feedback from, and to hopefully convert into paying students.”
How does it work? Before the event a unique keyword, in this case SALSA is set up. Contest details can be promoted on leaflets, webpage, posters, or other media instructing people to text the keyword to a local number for a chance to win free salsa lessons. During the event, organizers motivated workshop participants to text SALSA. Upon receipt of the text message, Synegys’ mobile marketing platform registers the number and automatically sends a thank-you message for entering the contest. The organizer holds a draw based on numbers collected and announces a lucky winner. After the event, organizers can follow up with the participants to convert them into paying students.
